Preparing for kitten/cat ~
Necessities-
Some of our cats and kittens prefer one type over the other, please check with us to see what your kitten is eating.
My cats love this water fountain and many of the kittens do to.
This is a favorite and I highly recommend
Hooded litter boxes are great and kittens are used to them however they are not used to the swinging door.
-Dry food-Purina one (kitten). Royal Canin Kitten. Some of our cats prefer Purina and others prefer Royal. Dry food Should be available at all times until kitten is a year old.Dry food does go bad, so don’t give more than he can eat in a couple days.
Fresh water should be available at all times. Our cats love this water fountain.
Wet food- Costco brand- chunks with gravy, fancy feast grilled or fancy feast with gravy, Royal Canin-mother and baby cat, They are used to having wet food in the morning or at night.
Litter box and scoopaway litter. We recommend at least one litter box per level of house and depending on how many cats you have you may need more.
They are used to covered litter boxes but I do take the plastic swinging door off.
Steel comb for grooming. Kittens/ cats don’t require baths, they groom themselves but can be bathed if desired. Use kitten shampoo or dawn soap the blue kind with the duck on it ,and do not get face or ears wet. Dry well, you may blow dry on warm setting.
Cat climbing structure, you can find them at Costco, chewy, petsmart, etc. I highly recommend these!!! Kittens can easily climb the tall ones, and this is a great investment.
All kittens will be up to date on vaccines and dewormed.
*** Kittens must be spayed/neutered by 6 months.

Treats- for when their a little older-The orange bag is softer and easier to chew. The pink bag is a harder crunch , my young adults and adults like these.
Toys kittens love-
wands, play mice, catnip toys, crinkle toys, feather toys, balls, a wrinkled up piece of paper, paper bag, tunnel, etc.
Ragdolls are not street smart and do not know how to protect themselves from predators, cars, etc. Outside they can pick up parasites, diseases, fungal, bacterial infections and etc. Ragdolls are to be kept indoors, if taken out there are cat back packs, strollers, and harnesses with leash.
